For fanart, do you prefer seeing characters drawn as close to the creator's style/realistically if live-action, or in the fanartist's own style even if they're not 100% accurate?

I prefer fanart in the creator's style/realistically if live-action because I like the original style of the characters.
I prefer fanart in the fanartist's style because I like seeing everyone's unique take on the characters.
I don't care either way because fanart yay!

It surprises me when an artist does get really close to the original art. But the point of fan art is to develop your own style, I agree.
